weavix was founded in 2019 by Kevin Turpin and his brothers, who invested $20 million of their own capital to solve a problem they knew intimately. After building PK Specialty Services into a global industrial services enterprise, they faced a frustrating reality: there was no way to know where their employees were, no simple way to easily prove what and when tasks had been completed–no safety-based system of record to locate employees who might need help or be facing a safety issue.
Every option on the market was just a dumb radio with zero intelligence built in and no way to verify accountability or enhance safety. So the Turpins built Walt® Smart Radio System, the first wearable AI communication hub that turns voice into actionable intelligence with complete visibility and documentation.
Since then, we’ve processed over 2 billion messages, helping manufacturers, construction teams, and hospitality operations unlock Voice to Value. We’re transforming frontline communication from a cost center into your strategic advantage.
Kevin’s vision attracted major investors: $10 million Series A funding in 2022 from Koch Disruptive Technologies (a fellow Wichita company), followed by $23.6 million Series B in 2024 from Insight Partners, with participation from Four More Capital, The Friedkin Group, and Perkins Coie. Total raised: $33.6 million.
Today, weavix serves Fortune 500 companies including Campbell’s, Milwaukee Tool, Hyundai, Panasonic, Tesla, Kraft Heinz, Hilton, and HanesBrands.
